Fusion: A NextAid Benefit Photos w/ Samantha James & Black Spade
Next Aid and Nu-Soul joined forces on April 12, 2008 for Fusion, an event that raised awareness and money for children orphaned by AIDS in Africa that also showcased the newest talents of San Francisco-based label Om Records. Black Spade warmed up the stage with his special blend of hip-hop and soul. Then the lovely Samantha James took over with her band in tow for a graceful and enchanting performance of loungey house grooves. DJs Destroyer, Glenn Red, and Jayvon served up a variety of beats from underground to commercial to satisfy the diverse crowd. The night was a rousing success and we look forward to doing more events with NextAid and Om Records!
